Mine Animals, Machinery, and more.

Introduction

Asset Mining is a core mechanic in the CropBytes game, enabling players to generate new game assets and participate in play-to-earn jobs. This process is integral to maintaining a sustainable in-game economy, with each asset interlinked economically with others. This section outlines the principles, mechanics, and requirements for Asset Mining in CropBytes.

What is Asset Mining?

Asset Mining allows players to create new game assets by burning CBX and Pro Mix, and by completing minigame jobs. This process not only introduces new assets into the game but also provides opportunities for players to earn through gameplay.

How Asset Mining Works

Asset Mining in CropBytes operates on principles similar to CBX mining, with some adjustments to accommodate game dynamics. The essential supply details, including Total Supply, Mined Supply, and Current Difficulty, are displayed live on the Asset Supply Tracker Page.

Mining Formula

The formula for mining assets is:

Burn (CBX + Pro Mix) + MiniGames (Jobs)\text{Burn (CBX + Pro Mix) + MiniGames (Jobs)}

Calculation of Requirements

The requirements for mining an asset are calculated based on several variables:

  • Network Difficulty (d): Derived from the estimated supply of the asset, used to calculate weekly requirements.

  • Base Requirements for the Week (w): A predefined amount for each asset, indicating the minimum Pro-Mix, CBX, and minigames required.

  • Estimated Supply (s): A predicted supply chart for each asset.

  • Mined Supply (m): The count of already minted assets.

  • Current Week’s Requirements (r): The actual amount of Pro-Mix, CBX, and minigames required to mine an asset in a particular week.

The formula for deriving the Current Week’s Requirements (r) is:

Network Difficulty (d) x Base Requirements for the Week (w) = Current Week’s Requirements (r)\text{Network Difficulty (d) x Base Requirements for the Week (w) = Current Week’s Requirements (r)}

Example Calculations

Example 1:

  • Base requirements for mining a B Rooster: 100 PMiX + 100 CBX + 10 Mini-games

  • If Difficulty = 1: 1(d)x100PMiX+100CBX+10Minigames(w)=100PMiX+100CBX+10Minigames(r)1 (d) x 100 PMiX + 100 CBX + 10 Mini-games (w) = 100 PMiX + 100 CBX + 10 Mini-games (r)

Example 2:

  • If Difficulty = 2: 2(d)x100PMiX+100CBX+10Minigames(w)=200PMiX+200CBX+20Minigames(r)2 (d) x 100 PMiX + 100 CBX + 10 Mini-games (w) = 200 PMiX + 200 CBX + 20 Mini-games (r)

Network Difficulty Calculation

The formula for deriving Network Difficulty (d) is:

(Mined Supply (m)Estimated Supply (s))5=Network Difficulty (d)\left(\frac{\text{Mined Supply (m)}}{\text{Estimated Supply (s)}}\right)^5 = \text{Network Difficulty (d)}

Note: The minimum Network Difficulty is 1.

Example:

  • Estimated supply of B Rooster in week 10: 100

  • If mined supply for week 10 = 110: (110(m)100(s))5=1.61(d)\left(\frac{110 (m)}{100 (s)}\right)^5 = 1.61 (d)

  • If mined supply for week 10 = 80: (80(m)100(s))5=0.32(d)\left(\frac{80 (m)}{100 (s)}\right)^5 = 0.32 (d) Since the minimum Network Difficulty is 1: Current week’s network difficulty (d) = 1\text{Current week’s network difficulty (d) = 1}

Mining Process

To mine an asset, visit the CBX station, select the desired asset, and burn the required CBX and Pro Mix. Complete the necessary minigames to finish the mining process. Jobs can be performed by the player or outsourced to other players via the jobs board.

Job Types

  • Private Jobs: Share jobs exclusively with friends.

  • Auto Post All Jobs: Automatically list jobs as they become available.

  • Job Listing Delay: Jobs are listed on the jobs board after a 1-minute delay.

  • Miner Cool Down: A 10-minute cooldown period for avatars after completing a job.

Pro Mix

Pro Mix is a crucial component for Asset Mining, crafted by combining Pro Extracts, Regular Extracts, and Fruit Feed. It can be crafted in the Kitchen using specific combinations of ingredients.

Pro Mix Formula

Pro Mix = Fruit Feed + (Any Pro Extract) + (Any Regular Extract)\text{Pro Mix = Fruit Feed + (Any Pro Extract) + (Any Regular Extract)}

Asset Mining Phases

Asset Mining will be released in phases: V0.5, V1, and V2. The basic principles remain consistent across all versions, with incremental updates and improvements.
