Mine Seeds

Seed mining allows players to create new seed assets by burning CBX and completing minigame jobs. This process not only introduces new assets into the game but also provides opportunities for players to earn through gameplay. The requirements may change in the future. The cost of mining seeds is determined by the market price of CBX using an Effective Price Mechanism.

Mine Seed Packs in CropBytes

In CropBytes, there are two primary methods to acquire seeds:

  1. Purchasing individual seeds from the Store (2x Price, compared to mining)

  2. Mining seed packs from CBX Station

Purchasing from Store

  • Instant Access: Seeds can be instantly acquired from the store page.

  • Higher Cost: The cost of producing seeds here is approximately 2x compared to the price in CBX Station.

Mining from CBX Station

  • Optimal Cost: Burn CBX and complete game jobs to get Seeds at an optimal rate.

  • Dynamic Pricing: Price is pegged to the moving price of CBX tokens.

Formula to Mine Seed Packs:

Seeds = CBX (Burn) + Games

Price Formula of Seeds:

To determine the cost of seeds, the variables are Base Price of Seeds, and Market Price of CBX.

Base price of Seeds:

  • Base price of Corn Seed = 0.1 CBX (When CBX price is above $0.001)

  • Base price of Carrot Seed = 2 CBX (When CBX price is above $0.001)

Seed Price Calculation:

Effective Price Mechanism

The base price of corn seeds is set at 0.1 CBX and carrot seed is 2 CBX. The price of seeds in CBX dynamically adjusts in response to changes in the value of CBX relative to USDT. This ensures that the real-world value of seeds remains consistent, providing stability and predictability for players. The value will not reduce below the base cost.

Packs of Seeds

Corn & carrot seeds are available for mining in packs of 10, 50, and 100:

  • 10 seeds: Effective price of Seed * 10 + 1 Job

  • 50 seeds: Effective price of Seed * 50 + 5 Jobs

  • 100 seeds: Effective price of Seed * 100 + 10 Jobs

Example:

When CBX Market Price = $0.008

  • Seed Price (CBX) = 0.008 + 0.1

  • Cost of 1 Seed = 0.108 CBX

  • Cost of 10 Seeds = 1.08 CBX

Note: The current calculation doesn't consider the cost of delegating game jobs to other players. If you opt to hire other players to complete your game jobs, you'll pay 0.5 CBX per job. Providing jobs is an excellent way to speed up mining while offering fun tasks and allowing community followers to play and earn for free.

Upcoming Updates to Seeds Mining

To enhance the economics of Seeds Mining, we will introduce an exciting update to the mining formula in the future:

Updated Seeds Mining Formula = CBX (Burn) + Pro Mix (Burn) + Games

This update will incorporate the burning of Pro Mix into the Seeds Mining process, creating additional value and utility for this asset within the CropBytes ecosystem. By including Pro Mix in the mining loop, players can expect:

  • Increased use case for Pro Mix, potentially boosting its value

  • A more balanced and dynamic Seeds Mining economy

  • Enhanced integration of various game assets, promoting a more interconnected gameplay experience

This strategic update aims to improve overall asset value and utility, further enriching the CropBytes virtual economy and providing players with more engaging ways to interact with the game's resources.

Summary

Mining seeds from the CBX Station is a cost-effective method that leverages the dynamic pricing of CBX tokens, while purchasing seeds from the store offers instant access at a higher cost. By understanding these methods and their cost implications, players can strategically manage their resources to optimize their farming operations in CropBytes.
